Book Conversation: "American Politics Film Festival" with Tom Cronin

March 4, 2026 7:00PM FOLCS Studio

What can Veep teach us about politicians? What does Forest Gump reveal to us about heroes and patriotism? How can Hamilton teach us about capitalism?

The 2025 book American Politics Film Festival: Understanding US Politics Through Film invites readers to explore such questions, bringing political quandaries to life through film and television. Author and professor Tom Cronin will join FOLCS as we investigate big-and small-screen media as tools for understanding American political culture.
