How is FOLCS handling the COVID-19 crisis?
While all FOLCS events are generally held in a live setting, we must take the necessary precautions to prioritize the health and safety of our audience, guests, partners, and team. For the foreseeable future, all FOLCS events are digital and made free to all. As a public service and as an expression of our overall mission, we will continue to do what we do best - produce smart, witty, and stimulating cultural and political content. This global health crisis will eventually come to an end, but in the meantime, we want to assist as best we can in providing meaningful ways to pass the time. In replacement of our regularly scheduled live programming, follow our digital programming efforts to stay connected, entertained, and engaged in FOLCS' activities.
I’m not a FOLCS member. Can I still attend events?
Of course! Members do receive special discounts, but everyone is welcome. Be sure to join our e-mail list to hear about upcoming events.
Where are FOLCS events held?
FOLCS comes to life on a variety of stages, though for the time being, all events are being held over Zoom. We are here, as a public service, for your virtual entertainment needs during this difficult time. When we are able to engage in live programming, we regularly host events at the 92nd Street Y. We also have a partnership with the New York Film Academy (NYFA). We make occasional appearances at the Time Warner Center, the HBO Theater, the Bar Association for the City of New York, Museum of Modern Art, Film Forum, The Friars Club, The Harmonie Club and Kumble Theater at Long Island University.
I’m interested in sponsoring or advertising with FOLCS. How can I do this?
We’d love to speak with you about your specific interests and the ways we can support each other. Feel free to drop us a line at info@folcs.org.
How can I become a FOLCS Volunteer?
Thank you for wanting to get involved. You can e-mail us at info@folcs.org for more information about volunteering at upcoming events.
How can I pitch an idea to FOLCS?
The exchange of ideas is what we’re all about. You can find us at info@folcs.org. We can’t wait to hear what you’re thinking!
I’m interested in hosting a Theater of Law event at my law firm/school/etc. How do I do that?
We’re excited to share this special performance with you. Our Producer handles all Theater of Law bookings. Please send an e-mail to info@folcs.org.
Do your events offer CLE credit?
The answer will be that some do, but to confirm, please e-mail Shervin Abachi at shorts@folcs.org.
