Manheim is best known for her Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning role on “The Practice,” along with standout work on “Law & Order,” “Stumptown,” “Waco,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “Person of Interest,” “Utopia,” “Criminal Minds,” “Code Black,” “Masters of Sex,” “Two and a Half Men,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Extant,” “Chicago Hope,” “Harry’s Law,” “Younger,” “Hand of God,” “The L Word,” “Will & Grace,” “Ally McBeal,” “Family Guy,” and “The 10th Kingdom,” among others. She also earned a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Gladys Presley in the CBS miniseries “Elvis.”

Manheim’s feature film credits include “Cop Car,” “Return to Sender,” “Slipstream,” “An Unfinished Life,” “Without Men,” “Twisted,” “Scary Movie Three,” “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion,” “Happiness,” “The Laramie Project,” “Dark Water,” “The Road to Wellville,” and “Eraser.”

Dara Collins
Mahjong and Canasta Co-Author and Instructor

Dara grew up in New York listening to the sounds of her mom, Phyllis, and friends mixing Mah Jongg tiles. While taking a break from law to raise their two daughters, Dara co-created a thriving Mah Jongg business with Donna Miller Kassman. They have an online retail business, ModernMahjong.com, as well as host in-person events and Modern Mahjong Zoom Talks with well-known authors, speakers, teachers, players, and collectors. As the co-creator of Mahjong Community, an interactive Facebook group with over 100,000 active members, Dara creates and shares rule and strategy posts and moderates lively discussions. This led to writing their book, Visual Companion Guide for American Mah Jongg, available on Amazon. Dara also co-wrote Modern American Canasta: The Complete Guide with Donna Miller-Small (another Donna). Dara has been a guest speaker and teacher both in-person and virtually for local and national organizations including Hadassah, JCCs, Country Clubs, Community Centers, and AARP and available to speak on learning to play and strategy for mahjong and Canasta.

Donna Miller Kassman
Mahjong Co-Author and Instructor

Donna Miller Kassman is a native South Floridian, born in Miami Beach. She attended college at the American University in Washington, D.C. After graduating from the University of Miami Law School, Donna practiced commercial real estate law for over twenty years. While raising two young boys, she took some time off from the practice of law during which time she learned how to play mahjong. After starting a mahjong business with Dara Mosher Collins, she never went back to the law! In addition to their online retail business, ModernMahjong.com, they host in-person events and Modern Mahjong Zoom Talks with well-known authors, speakers, teachers, players, and collectors. Donna has also been a guest speaker and teacher both in-person and virtually for local and national organizations including Kveller, FitPros, the Guild, Hadassah and numerous Country Clubs. Most recently, Donna and Dara spoke at the 92NY and co-hosted the first ever Jewish Mah Jongg Festival, both in New York City. Together, Dara and Donna host events, teach Mah Jongg, and organize fundraisers throughout South Florida and beyond. Through their fundraising efforts, they have raised $200,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association and thousands of dollars for many other charities.
