Theater of Law is a collaborative project between FOLCS and Theater of War Productions that presents a dramatic reading from Aeschylus’ Eumenides—an ancient Greek tragedy about the birth of trial by jury in the western world—for individuals interested in why vengeance was replaced by the rule of law. This reading acts as a catalyst for conversation about the role of the public in seeking justice.

The live public premiere of Theater of Law took place at our Gala in 2017, featuring Paul Giamatti, John Turturro, Elizabeth Marvel, and David Strathairn. The event celebrated FOLCS’ insightful and entertaining series of conversations on politics, world affairs, culture, law, and the big issues of the day.
